§ LORD GEORGE HAMILTONI have received no intimation from the responsible committee of the National Lifeboat Institution that any pecuniary assistance is required from the Government, and I am averse to the interference of the Government in the management of any institution so long as its affairs are properly administered, and the voluntary support it receives is adequate for the purpose.
