HC Deb 01 April 1889 vol 334 c1229
MR. CHANNING

asked the Under Secretary for State for the Colonies whether any, and, if so, what decision had been come to by the Executive Council of Western Australia in the case of the Petition against Chief Justice Onslow referred to them some time ago?

BARON H. DE WORMS

No decision has been come to by the Governor and Executive Council; but the Governor has reported that he has laid the papers on the case before the Legislative Council.

MR. CHANNING

Am I rightly informed that the papers have been sent to the Colonial Office for decision?

BARON H. DE WORMS

Yes; that is correct.
