asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if the Government had decided whether the inquiry into the working of the Welsh Sunday Closing Act would be made by Select Committee or by a Royal Commission; and when the inquiry would be entered upon?

The Government have decided that the inquiry shall be by means of a Royal Commission. The inquiry will com- mence as soon as the necessary arrangements can be made.
