HC Deb 11 June 1888 vol 326 c1691
MR. COCHRANE-BAILLIE (St. Pancras, N.)

asked the hon. Member for the Knutsford Division of Cheshire, Whether, in consequence of the increasing block of traffic near to Albert Gate, the Metropolitan Board of Works will make representations to the First Commissioner of Works as to the desirability of having another entrance made into Hyde Park between Knightsbridge Barracks and Albert Gate?

MR. TATTON EGERTON (Cheshire, Knutsford)

I have no reason to think that the Board will make representations to the First Commissioner of Works as to the desirability of having another entrance made into Hyde Park between Knightsbridge Barracks and Albert Gate. I may, perhaps, be allowed to say that the First Commissioner is probably quite as well able as the Board to judge of the need of another entrance into Hyde Park; and if the hon. Member brings the matter under the notice of the First Commissioner, he will, doubtless, give it due consideration.
