HC Deb 03 August 1888 vol 329 c1403
MR. COX (Clare, E.)

asked the Postmaster General, What steps, if any, have been taken to provide a new post office for the town of Ennis?

THE POSTMASTER GENERAL (Mr. RAIKES) (Cambridge University)

The Department has been negotiating with reference to two properties at Ennis, either of which seems likely to be suitable as a means of providing a new post office in that town; but I regret to say that no satisfactory result has yet been arrived at. I am about to give instructions that an advertisement should be issued for a suitable site or premises.
