asked the Secretary to the Board of Trade, When the Return ordered to be made by the House on the 10th April last, as to the charges made by Railway Companies in the United Kingdom for the rates on imported and home produce, will be in the hands of Members?

The Return in question is not completed, as the following Companies have not yet replied—the London and North Western, the London, Brighton, and South Coast, the London, Chatham, and Dover, the Great Eastern, the Great Western, the Great Northern, the Manchester, Sheffield, and Lincolnshire, the South Eastern, the Caledonian, and the Belfast and Northern Counties. All these Companies state that the Returns are in preparation. As soon as they are received the Return shall be laid on the Table.
