HC Deb 04 July 1876 vol 230 cc946-7
MR. FAWCETT

asked the First Lord of the Treasury, Whether he can name a time within which he believes he shall be able to lay upon the Table of the House the Papers he has promised to produce in reference to the Eastern Question?

MR. DISRAELI

Sir, there are no Members of the House who are more anxious that these Papers should be placed on the Table than the Members of Her Majesty's Government. I gave orders before I came to the House yesterday that the utmost promptitude should be exercised in preparing them; but it is quite out of my power to say exactly on what day they will be placed on the Table.
