HC Deb 30 June 1856 vol 143 c13

Order for Second Reading read.

MR. SPOONER

said, the National Gallery Site Bill stood on the paper for that evening; he wished to know whether it was the intention of the Government, after the Vote of last Friday, to proceed with it further that Session?

VISCOUNT PALMERSTON

replied that, after the expression of opinion by the House on Friday night, it was not his intention to proceed further with the Bill; at all events during the present Session. He proposed, therefore, to discharge the order.

Order for Second Reading discharged.
