HC Deb 29 November 1984 vol 68 c581W
Mr. Kennedy

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer how much he expects to accrue to the Consolidated Fund as a result of the introduction and operation of the milk supplementary levy (outgoers) scheme from capital gains tax payments.

Mr. Moore

[pursuant to his reply, 23 November 1984, c. 294]: I regret that information upon which to base an estimate of the capital gains tax yield from payments under the scheme is not available. To the extent to which capital gains tax eventually applies, the yield will depend upon the reliefs available; for example, the annual exempt amount, retirement relief and so on.
