HC Deb 16 July 1909 vol 7 cc2488-9W
Mr. POWER

asked the Chief Secretary for Ireland if he can state why, in dividing the lands of Orchardstown, Waterford Union, an applicant for a portion of those lands, named Morris, who had been evicted from a farm on the townland of Orchardstown, received no part of the divided lands?

Mr. BIRRELL

The hon. Member appears to have been misinformed. The Estates Commissioners offered Morris over 70 acres of the lands of Orchardstown, but he refused the offer.
