HC Deb 31 July 1974 vol 878 c330W
Mr. Woodhouse

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will publish figures showing the road traffic accident rate of invalid tricycles in comparison with those of four-wheeled vehicles used by disabled drivers, as supplied to them by the National Health Service for Great Britain in the years from 1969–70 to 1973–74 inclusive.

Mr. Alfred Morris

I have been asked to reply. The figures are:

Between 68,000 and 72,000 vehicles per 16-hour day. The levels of traffic on Ditton bypass in later years will be limited by the capacity of the Maidstone bypass.
