Motion made, and Question put forthwith, pursuant to Standing Order No. 52(1)(a), That, for the purposes of any Act resulting from the Competition Bill [Lords], it is expedient to authorise—

  1. (a) the setting by the Director General of Fair Trading of fees in respect of the exercise of certain functions under the Act and the charging of such fees;
  2. (b) the payment of sums into the Consolidated Fund. —[Mr. Betts.]
