HC Deb 17 February 1983 vol 37 c481

4.7 pm

Mr. Eric Deakins (Waltham Forest)

On a point of order, Mr. Speaker. My point of order relates to the supply of documents to hon. Members. At the time of the first Brandt report about three years ago, sufficient copies were made available through the Vote Office to enable hon. Members to study it. I believe that 700 or so copies were distributed in that way. The second Brandt report was published last Friday, but no copies have so far been placed in the Vote Office and I do not know whether the Government intend that they should be. All that has happened is that the Foreign Office has placed six copies in the Library, which, naturally, have been snapped up quickly. No copies of that important document are available to right hon. and hon. Members.

Mr. Speaker

Those responsible will have heard what the hon. Gentleman has said. I shall leave it there.
