HC Deb 29 November 1982 vol 33 c16
44. Mr. Palmer

asked the Attorney-General what representations he has received from the Law Officers of the Government of South Africa about David Somes, a British national and a former South African police officer wanted in connection with the murder of four black South Africans.

The Solicitor-General (Sir Ian Percival)

Somes was arrested on Saturday and charged with the murder of a black South African national. He was brought before a magistrate at Bow Street on Saturday and remanded in custody. The case is now sub-judice.

Mr. Palmer

Is the hon. and learned Gentleman aware that that answer will give general satisfaction, in the knowledge that justice will now be done?

The Solicitor-General

Yes, Sir.
