Queen's Recommendation having been signified

Resolved, That, for the purposes of any Act of the present Session to increase the limit imposed by section 60 of the New Towns Act 1981 on the amounts which may be borrowed by development corporations and the Commission for the New Towns, it is expedient to authorise any increase in the sums—

  1. (a) falling to be paid out of or into the National Loans Fund or the Consolidated Fund, or
  2. (b) falling to be paid out of money provided by Parliament, being an increase attributable to provisions of the said Act of the present Session increasing to £5, 000 million the limit imposed by the said section 60 on the amounts outstanding in respect of borrowing by the development corporations and the Commission.—[Mr. Thompson.]
