§ Mr. Ioan EvansOn a point of order, Mr. Speaker. The appearance on the Order Paper of a question about the recent weather in Wales might have had some influence on whether there was to be a statement on the matter. However, the hon. Member who tabled the question is not in the Chamber. In view of the serious situation in Wales, will the Secretary of State confirm that he intends to make a statement later?
§ Mr. SpeakerThere are two questions about the weather in Wales which could go rather wide. The hon. Member who tabled the question referred to may well arrive by the time that question is reached.

Gentleman who tabled it is not yet in his place and this is an important matter—so that we can discuss the serious situation?
§ Mr. SpeakerOrder. May I point out that such points of order are taking up the time allotted to other hon. Members, who are entitled to have answered the questions they have on the Order Paper?
§ Mr. Ray PowellFurther to that point of order—
§ Mr. SpeakerOrder. I am not taking further points of order on that subject.
