Mr. Charles Irving, Mr. David Knox, Mr. Alfred Dubs, and Mr. Donald Anderson, presented a Bill to consolidate and amend the powers of local authorities as regards houses occupied by persons who do not form a single household; to define categories of such houses, to empower the Secretary of State to specify standards to apply to such houses; to confer duties on local authorities to enforce standards in such houses; to repeal existing provisions relating to such houses; and for connected purposes: And the same was read the First time; and ordered to be read a Second time upon Friday 25 February and to be printed [Bill 23].
