§ Mr. Secretary Jenkin, supported by Mr. Secretary Prior, Mr. Secretary Younger, Mr. Secretary Biffen, Mr. Nicholas Ridley, Mr. Norman Lamont and Mr. John Wakeham, presented a Bill to raise the limits imposed by section 11 of the Aircraft and Shipbuilding Industries Act 1977 in relation to the finances of British Shipbuilders and its wholly owned subsidiaries; and to provide for extending the period in relation to which schemes under the Shipbuilding (Redundancy Payments) Act 1978 operate: And the same was read a First time; and ordered to be read a Second time tomorrow and to be printed [Bill 5].
