§ Mr. Denis HowellApproximately £75 million. Most of this related to the provision of accommodation for Government Departments in Scotland.
§ Mr. RifkindDoes the right hon. Gentleman accept that with the creation of the Department of Transport his Department has virtually no responsibilities left in Scotland? Would it not be more convenient for administrative and other purposes for the Government to consider transferring the remaining functions to the Scottish Office?
§ Mr. HowellThat is not a matter for me, but I am sure that when the devolution proposals are considered it will be a matter of great interest and concern to the House as well as to the Government.
