HC Deb 07 February 1975 vol 885 cc1868-9

Order for Second Reading read.

Hon. Members

Object.

Mr. Tam Dalyell (West Lothian)

On a point of order, Mr. Deputy Speaker. It is my understanding that the Government Whips have objected—[HON. MEMBERS: "No."]—and I wish to put on record that the Government have been most helpful in this matter, and are to meet a group of surgeons and myself next week. I wish to make clear to many hundreds of people—

Mr. Deputy Speaker

Order.

Mr. Dalyell

The behaviour of the Government has been good—

Mr. Deputy Speaker

Order. The hon. Gentleman should resume his seat when I rise. He knows that that was not a point of order. It is a matter of opinion.

Second Reading deferred till Friday next.
