§ Mr. SpeakerI have to inform the House that for the debate on Thursday 18th December on the Second Reading of the Consolidated Fund Bill, hon. Members may hand into my office by 822 9.30 on the morning of Wednesday 17th December their names and the topics which they wish to raise. The ballot will be carried out as on the last occasion. An hon. Member may hand in only his own name and one topic.
The debate on Second Reading of this Bill is, to quote page 729 of "Erskine May",
commensurate with the whole range of administrative policy".It covers the Defence and Civil Votes on Account for 1976– 77 presented in House of Commons Papers 29 and 30, and the Supplementary Estimates for 1975–76 presented in House of Commons Papers 27 and 28. It will be in order on Second Reading to raise any topic falling within the compass of those Estimates.I shall put out the result of the ballot later on Wednesday 17th December.
