Queen's Recommendation having been signified

Resolved, That, for the purposes of any Act of the present Session to amend the provisions of the Housing Finance Act 1972 and the Housing (Financial Provisions) (Scotland) Act 1972 relating to payment of rent allowances to tenants of dwellings, it is expedient to authorise the payment out of money provided by Parliament of any increase in the sums so payable under any other Act which is attributable to any provision of the said Act of the present Session which amends either of the said Acts of 1972 to provide rent allowances for persons occupying dwellings under contracts to which Part VI of the Rent Act 1968 applies or would apply but for section 70(3)(a) or (b) thereof, or contracts to which Part VII of the Rent (Scotland) Act 1971 applies or would apply but for section 85(3)(a) or (b) thereof, and for tenants under furnished lettings of housing authority dwellings; and to authorise any payment into the Consolidated Fund.—[Mr. Eyre.]
