§ Mr. LewisCan the Solicitor-General assure me that the law is being properly consolidated with regard to Clause 169 which refers to forgery of documents? If proof is given about the forgery of documents under existing law no action is taken. Perhaps the Solicitor-General will assure me action will be taken by the authorities to ensure that the existing law is implemented.
§ The Solicitor-GeneralThe only assurance I can give the hon. Member, without meaning any disrespect to him, is that Clause 169 accurately consolidates the law. To go beyond saying that would be out of order.
