HC Deb 19 July 1971 vol 821 cc1032-3
33. Mr. Biggs-Davison

asked the Attorney-General what action was taken by the Director of Public Prosecutions in the matter of two pornographic magazines of which copies were sent to him by the hon. Member for Chigwell.

The Attorney-General

A prosecution in respect of one of these magazines is pending. The Director has decided that criminal proceedings in respect of the other magazine would not be justified, and I agree with his view.

Mr. Biggs-Davison

Without mentioning and, therefore, advertising this magazine, may I ask my right hon. and learned Friend whether he is aware that those for whom I speak in this matter in my constituency will be grateful that the case of one of the magazines is to be submitted to the judgment of the courts?
