asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if the will consider Wellingborough as the site of one of the pilot schemes for a community hospital.

Mr. Alison

Research continues. I cannot yet say which hospitals will be in pilot schemes.

Mr. Fry

Does my hon. Friend appreciate that my constituency is rapidly growing and that the hospital services are being reduced rather than increased? Therefore, will he consider my constituency's case with great favour in the immediate future?

Mr. Alison

I note my hon. Friend's point and that the Oxford Regional Hospital Board is a pioneer in community hospitals.
