§ Mr. SpeakerI should like to mention two minor points of order, one of which may seem rather small but which is important.
I wish to correct an inaccurate Ruling that I made yesterday in answer to the right hon. Member for Wolverhampton, South-West (Mr. Powell), which is recorded in HANSARD at column 50, and to rule that it is in order to quote from something previously said in the House when raising a point of order, as distinct from a supplementary question, if, of course, it is a point of order and not a point of argument.
I am grateful to the right hon. Member for Wolverhampton, South-West for calling attention to the error that I made yesterday.
§ Later—
§ Mr. OrmeOn a point of order. Concerning the reference that you, Mr. Speaker, made previously to the right hon. Member for Wolverhampton, South-West (Mr. Powell), when he raised a point of order arising out of a point of order that I had raised about quoting what a Minister had previously said, may I ask whether it is possible, in retrospect, to get that quotation on the Order Paper?
§ Mr. SpeakerOrder. I will not pursue that point at the moment, because I also said that my Ruling applied to real points of order and not to supplementary questions disguised as points of order.
