§ 28. Mr. Channonasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what progress is being made with the formation of a Southern Regional Arts Association.
§ Miss Jennie LeeA constitution was adopted in October, and a Director has been appointed who is expected to start work in January 1969. One of his first tasks will be a survey of the needs of the arts in the region.
§ Mr. ChannonMay we have an assurance—I am sure that we may—from the right hon. Lady that her Department will give every possible assistance to try to get this regional arts association off the ground?
§ Miss LeeWe are most eager to do so, and so is the Arts Council. Everyone is trying to be helpful.
