§ 30. Mr. Alexander W. Lyonasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs how many representations Her Majesty's High Commissioner in Dar-es-Salaam has received from British citizens in Tanzania about the termination of aid to that country; and what reply has been sent.
§ Mr. WhitlockOne such letter has been received in the High Commission. The writer's attention was directed to the explanation given to the House by my right hon. Friend the Minister for Overseas Development in the debate on 26th July.—[Vol. 769, c. 1242–53.]
§ Mr. LyonIs my hon. Friend aware of the concern that has been expressed by officials working in the Tanzanian National Parks about the effect of the cut in aid upon the national parks, which are a heritage for the world, not only Tanzania, and the concern which has been expressed by some British schools and teachers in that country?
