Resolved, That, for the purposes of any Act of the present Session to make further provision about the licensing, registration and marking of mechanically propelled vehicles and the payment of excise duty in respect of such vehicles, it is expedient to authorise—

  1. (1) any increased charge by way of excise duty under the Vehicles (Excise) Act 1962 resulting from the provisions of the said Act of the present Session; and
  2. (2) the payment into the Consolidated Fund of any sums falling to be so paid by virtue of the latter Act.—[Mr. Carmichael.]
