§ 34. Mr. Straussasked the Minister of Public Building and Works if he is satisfied that the firms he employs to do the office cleaning at Lambeth Bridge House act in conformity with the Fair Wages Resolution; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. MellishCompliance with the Fair Wages Resolution passed by this House on the 14th October, 1946, is a condition of our contract for the cleaning of Lambeth Bridge House. I have not received any complaints or representations.
§ Mr. StraussIs my right hon. Friend aware that, according to what appears 1237 to be sound information, at least one of the firms is not operating the Fair Wages Resolution? If I give him particulars, will he look into that?
§ Mr. MellishI certainly will and I will have the matter thoroughly investigated: I give my right hon. Friend that assurance.
