§ 15. Mr. Hooson
asked the Secretary of State for Defence to what use the Little Aden cantonment will be put after the withdrawal of British Forces.

This will be for the Federal Government to decide.

In view of the estimated cost of the cantonment, over £6 million in the last few years, does the Defence Ministry now think the cost justified?

§ Mr. Reynolds
If we always looked at our overseas policy on the basis that if we have bricks and mortars there we cannot make any changes, we should never be able to make any changes.
