§ Mr. GoodhartWhile welcoming this small increase that is being made this year, is the Minister aware that this is still totally inadequate compared with the need of that particular country? If the administrative difficulties that face our medical team out there can be cleared up, will he press ahead for plans for a teacher-training college in view of the great need for teachers, as so many have been murdered by the Viet Cong?
§ Mr. OramFunds available for overseas aid next year will necessarily be limited, and South Vietnam has not been a traditional recipient of our aid. We are anxious to concentrate the amount that we do provide on such projects as the children's hospital at Saigon. I assure the hon. Gentleman that the difficulties to which he referred are being cleared up. Indeed, I saw a letter only this morning from Dr. Evans in which he strikes a much happier note.
