asked the President of the Board of Trade whether British-Nigerian trade for the first quarter of 1966 showed an improvement over the equivalent quarter of the previous year.

Mr. Mason

There was no significant change between the two quarters.

Mr. Tilney

Even so, would not the Minister agree that the fact that, despite the difficulties over law and order earlier this year, trade has been maintained, is an encouragement to the new Nigerian Government?
