Resolution reported,

That for the purposes of any Act of the present Session to make further provision for regulating the employment of dock workers, it is expedient to authorize—

  1. (a) the payment out of moneys provided by Parliament of any increase in the sums so payable under section 12 of the Harbours Act 1964 which is attributable to provisions of the said Act of the present Session extending the class of persons to whom and the expenses in respect of which 540 assistance by way of grant may be given under that section;
  2. (b) the issue of the Consolidated Fund of any sums required to enable the Minister of Transport to make loans under section 11 of the said Act of 1964 by virtue of provisions of the said Act of the present session extending the expenses in respect of which such loans may be made;
  3. (c) the raising under the National Loans Act 1939 of any money required for the purpose of providing sums to be issued as mentioned in paragraph (b) above;
  4. (d) the payment into the Exchequer and reissue out of the Consolidated Fund of any sums received by the Minister of Transport in respect of any loans mentioned in paragraph (b) above.
