§ Mr. Gordon Campbell (Moray and Nairn)We on this side welcome this consolidation Measure. It is very much needed in Scotland in order that people may find their way through the housing statutes. The task was started when I was at the Scottish Office, and I was pressed by hon. Members opposite to 1376 carry it through as soon as possible. I am glad that it has eventually been possible to complete it. We on this side have done everything possible to encourage its passage through the House.
§ The Under-Secretary of State for Scotland (Dr. J. Dickson Mabon)I thank the hon. Gentleman for his remarks and for his co-operation in our proceedings. I take this opportunity to put on record the splendid work done by the officials and draftsmen concerned in completing a useful job for the improvement of the Scottish housing scene.
