§ Mr. George BrownThis is a matter in the first instance for the Government. The action we are taking to deal with increases in food prices is described in Command Paper 2808, laid before the House on 11th November.
§ Mr. DempseyIs my right hon. Friend aware that recently lower grade eggs were advertised at higher grades and, as a result, at higher prices? Can he say whether there is any temporary measure which might be adopted to stamp out that type of unjustified increase so far as prices and incomes are concerned?
§ Mr. BrownWe have had this particular issue in our minds and watched it carefully. We do not think that this was a case for reference to the Board.
