HC Deb 22 July 1965 vol 716 cc1813-4
9. Mr. Kenneth Lewis

asked the First Secretary of State and Secretary of State for Economic Affairs what plans he has for strengthening the staff of his Department dealing with Press relations; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. George Brown

I have no such plans.

Mr. Lewis

Why not? Is the Minister aware that it would appear that the speeches he makes in favour of his incomes policy get a worse Press than the speeches of the Minister of Technology against an incomes policy?

Mr. Brown

In this particular respect, I have no complaint against the Press.
