HC Deb 07 April 1965 vol 710 c473
24. Mr. Grimond

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what plans he has made for providing alternative sources of grant when the present Government grant for the support of tourism in the Highlands is withdrawn.

Mr. Ross

I would refer the right hon. Gentleman to the Answer which I gave to the hon. Member for Inverness (Mr. Russell Johnston) on 15th February.

Mr. Grimond

Does this mean that the Secretary of State still has this matter under consideration? If so, when will he reach a conclusion?

Mr. Ross

As I told the hon. Member, I had asked the Board for information about what was required and how it would be used. I received the information from the Board on 29th March, which is not long ago, and I am looking into it at present.
