HC Deb 06 July 1964 vol 698 cc30-1

The following Question stood upon the Order Paper:

103. Mr. C. PANNELL

To ask the Minister of Public Building and Works what documents relating to the accommodation of hon. Members, at present out of print, he has arranged to be made available for hon. Members.

The Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Public Building and Works (Mr. Richard Sharples)

With permission, I will now answer Question No. 103.

Arrangements have been made for copies of the Stanhope Committee's Reports, the Stokes Committee's Reports and the booklet entitled "Accommodation for the House of Commons", which was issued in July of last year, to be made available to hon. Members.

With the exception of the Stanhope Committee's Reports, which will not be available until Wednesday, the documents should be available to hon. Members from the Vote Office later today.

Mr. C. Pannell

I thank the Parliamentary Secretary and the Minister for having these old documents reprinted. They should be compulsory reading for all Members before the accommodation debate next Monday. May I specially commend them to the Leader of the House?
