However, can the Government ensure that after the Prime Minister's forthcoming visit to Bonn, the impressions left with the German Government on that occasion will not appear to be controverted soon afterwards by a speech in the House?
§ Mr. PadleyI do not believe that that happened. In his talks with the German Foreign Minister in London on 11th December, the Foreign Secretary has had a further exchange of views on several subjects immediately after his return from Washington with my right hon. Friend the Prime Minister.
