Resolved,
That, for the purposes of any Act of this Session to increase contributions and benefits under the National Insurance Act's 1946 to 1961 and the National Insurance (Industrial Injuries) Acts 1946 to 1961 it is expedient to authorise—
- (a)any increase attributable to the new Act in the sums payable out of money provided by Parliament—
- (i)under section 2 (b) of the National Insurance (Industrial Injuries) Act 1946 or section 1 (3) of the National Insurance Act 1959 (Exchequer supplements) or section 12 (4) of the said Act of 1959 (statutory superannuation schemes), or
- (ii) under section 60 of the National Insurance (Industrial Injuries) Act 1946 or section 38 of the National Insurance Act 1946 (administrative expenses) as amended or applied by any subsequent enactment, and
- (b)any payments into the Exchequer to be made in consequence of the new Act. —[Mr. Peel.]
