§ 36. Mr. Donnellyasked the Minister of Labour whether he will circulate in the OFFICIAL REPORT a list of the employment exchanges in Wales where the percentage of unemployment exceeds 6 per cent. of the insured population.
§ Mr. DonnellyIs the Minister aware that some of these employment exchanges have been scheduled under the Local Employment Act and that some have not? In these circumstances, is it the Government's view that it does not matter whether they are scheduled under the Act?
§ Mr. HareNo. That is the last thing which any hon. Member from Wales should say. Most people should realise that what has happened under the Local Employment Act and what the Board of Trade did beforehand has constituted a major revolution in Wales. The diversification of industry which has gone there has been remarkable in extent and is something which would not have been thought possible ten years ago.
§ Mr. WebsterCan my right hon. Friend indicate how many jobs have been created in Wales, in South Wales in particular, in the last five years?
§ Mr. HareIf my hon. Friend would be good enough to put down a Question, I will certainly give him the figures.
§ Following is the information:

§ Note: The figures given below relate either to employment exchanges or to groups of employment exchanges where those cover travel-to-work areas.
