§ of these development districts have a rate of unemployment and a total number of unemployed greater than when they were originally scheduled? Further, can he say what the Government intend to do, or, indeed, can do, for those areas outside the provisions of the Local Employment Act?
§ Mr. HareAgain, this is a matter which we shall be debating this afternoon. This is a very long list of figures, as the hon. Gentleman will see, but the increase is lower in the development districts compared with Great Britain as a whole. To that degree there is some comfort.
