§ 34. Mr. K. Lewisasked the Minister of Education what representations he has received from the British Sports Association for Sports for the Disabled regarding an allocation of money following the implementation of the Report of the Wolfenden Committee on Sport; and what reply he has sent.
§ Mr. K. ThompsonThe President and General Secretary of the Association wrote to my right hon. Friend three days ago and he is arranging for them to discuss this matter with officers of the Department.
§ Mr. LewisMy hon. Friend will be aware that the General Secretary wrote to the Chancellor of the Exchequer a week or two ago. Will he bear in mind that it would be very helpful if he could assist, through an allocation of this money, those less fortunate as well as those who are fit and well? This would be greatly appreciated?
§ Mr. ThompsonMy right hon. Friend is very sympathetic to the objects of this Association. We should, however, find out exactly what it has in mind.
