asked the Prime Minister to what extent the new Minister of Public Building and Works will have responsibility in Scotland.

To the same extent as in England and Wales.

§ Mr. Hughes
Does this mean that new housing powers will be given to the new Minister? What is the meaning of his assurance that this would mean some kind of new housing drive in England? Does that apply to Scotland?

§ The Prime Minister
Yes, Sir. I hope that all the efforts of the Ministry of Works which are now available to the Secretary of State for Scotland will be directed to assist him.
