§ 6. Mr. Willisasked the Civil Lord of the Admiralty what percentage of the sums to be spent under Vote 8, Section III, Vote 8, Section II and Vote 9 of the Naval Estimates for 1961–62 will be spent in Scotland.

Ian Orr-EwingIt is estimated that payments in 1961–62 against production contracts placed directly by the Admiralty, i.e. excluding procurement through the Ministry of Aviation and the War Office, for services covered by these votes will be approximately £110 million. Of this it is expected that some 20 per cent. will be payable to firms in Scotland.
