§ 13. Mr. C. Hughesasked the Secretary of State for Commonwealth Relations whether it is proposed to consult with the Government of the Republic of Ireland before negotiations are entered into with the Common Market countries.
§ Mr. BraineWe have been keeping in close touch with the Government of the Republic of Ireland on the possibility of our entry into negotiations with the European Economic Community, and the Prime Minister and the Ministers of Finance and External Affairs of the Republic of Ireland are coming to London for consultations on 18th July.
