HC Deb 13 April 1961 vol 638 c474
29. Lieut.-Colonel Sir W. Bromley-Davenport

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he is aware that, although 20,000 people received police approval and protection and were allowed to assemble in Trafalgar Square on Easter Monday in a demonstration against nuclear weapons, other small bodies of people of opposite views were not allowed to stay in Trafalgar Square; and why this distinction was made.

The Secretary of State for the Home Department (Mr. R. A. Butler)

I am not aware of any such incident.
