Hyndasked the Minister of Pensions and National Insurance whether he will issue a leaflet in clear and non-technical language about the graduated pension scheme which will come into operation next April, so that employers and workers will know exactly what they will then have to pay and what benefits they will receive.
§ Mr. Boyd-CarpenterYes, Sir. A leaflet giving a broad outline of the scheme both on contributions and benefits in clear and non-technical language was issued in July last. I am sending the hon. Member a copy. This leaflet, "A Guide to the New Graduated Pension Scheme", will be revised and expanded to give more detail as Regulations on various aspects of the scheme are made.
§ Mr. HyndWill the Minister see that full information is sent out on this as soon as possible, in view of the wide changes which will take place next April, with which I am sure he will agree many employers and workers are not yet acquainted?
