Mr. Holtasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, in view of the failure of the Potato Marketing Board to procure an adequate supply of potatoes at satisfactory prices by the control of acreage grown, if he will now introduce legislation to abolish their powers of acreage limitation.
§ Mr. John HareThere are ample supplies of potatoes available from the 1959 crop at reasonable prices. This was the first occasion since the war that the Potato Marketing Board had exercised its quota powers.
